We are interested in fluid-structure and flow-sound interaction problems. We are particularly interested in approximate analytical results, obtained via perturbation and asymptotic methods. Typical research projects are concerned with self-sustained flow oscillations, acoustic resonance, trapped acoustic modes, and nonlinear water waves (sloshing) in fluid-structure interaction theory.
We are interested in the stability of structures as well, particularly dynamic stability of structures under non-conservative (e.g., fluid flow) loading, or time-varying loads.
Finally, we are interested also in the related area of hydrodynamic stability, i.e., the stability of fluid flows and flow patterns, such as, for example, vortex structures.
