PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

Rami Mansour

Dr. Rami Mansour is an Assistant Professor at the department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at Aarhus University. He leads the Reliability Modelling and Optimization (RMO) research group. Dr. Mansour received the doctoral degree in Solid Mechanics in 2016 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Current research includes additive manufacturing, welding, abrasive manufacturing and biocomposites with focus on fatigue and failure of materials as well as data-driven design & manufacturing under uncertainties.

Mikkel Melters Pedersen

Mikkel Melters Pedersen, PhD, is an associate professor at the department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at Aarhus University. He received his PhD in 2011 in Mechanical engineering from Aalborg University. His primary research interest is in metal fatigue, including welding, casting and additive manufacturing. He is a member of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and takes part in the DS/S-1993 committee working on the revision of Eurocode 3.

Aaron Ireland

Aaron Ireland is a Master student in Engineering Mechanics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman, USA, in 2017. Aaron is focusing on cyclic plasticity modelling in metal additive manufacturing (AM) at VATTENFALL.

Academic supervision:  Assist. Prof. Rami Mansour and PhD Candidate Mustafa Subasic (KTH).

Industrial supervision: Adj. Prof. Pål Efsing and Björn Forssgren at VATTENFALL.

Peter Enblom

Peter Enblom is a Master student in Engineering Mechanics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. He received his bachelor’s degree from KTH in 2021 in Mechanical Engineering and is specializing in Solid Mechanics. Peter is focusing on the Fatigue life of stainless steel at various temperatures at VATTENFALL.

Academic supervision:  Assist. Prof. Rami Mansour and PhD Student Mustafa Subasic (KTH).

Industrial supervision: Adj. Prof. Pål Efsing and Björn Forssgren at VATTENFALL

Armen Babekyan

Armen Babekya is a Master student in Engineering Mechanics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. He received his bachelor’s degree from Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan in 2017 in Mechanical Engineering and is specializing in Solid Mechanics. Armen is focusing on the Fatigue characterization of compacted aluminum conductor at NKT.

Academic supervision:  Assist. Prof. Rami Mansour.

Industrial supervision: Dr. Denny Tjahjanto and Andreas Tyrberg at NKT.
