Profile

Ciao! I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Aarhus University My interests are rooted in cardiovascular engineering and biomechanics, and I lead the research group of CARdiovascular ENGineering and Biofluids Applications (CAReENG).

I collaborate with clinicians and other scientists to develop predictive models of cardiovascular diseases, through engineering computational and experimental methods.

Before moving to Denmark, I studied in Milano (Italy) and worked in Houston (Houston Methodist Hospital), then back to Milano, Boston (MIT, USA), and ETZ Zurich (Switzerland).

I am a member of the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) and the MPE Diversity and Inclusion Committe at AU.

I teach Fluid Mechanics at the Bachelor of Science and Biofluid Dynamics at the Master of Science.
