Biomimetic Mechatronic Lab

The Biomimetic Mechatronics Lab is primarily used for interdisciplinary projects focused on soft, bio-inspired mechatronic systems. We cover the entire development process – from design and fabrication to testing and measurement of the developed systems.

Access and admission requirements

To gain access to the Biomimetic Mechatronics Lab, you must be affiliated with a study- or work-related project at Aarhus University that involves soft mechatronics, where access to the lab is relevant or necessary.

How to apply for access:

1. Contact the lab administrator
Send an email with a brief description of your project and how you intend to use the lab.

2. Approval and next steps
Once your request has been approved, you must send an email to the MPE Secretariat (mpe@au.dk), with the lab administrator in CC.

The email to the Secretariat must include the following information:

  • Full name of the person requesting access

  • AU ID or student number

  • Name of the lab (Biomimetic Mechatronics Lab)

  • Desired start and end date for access
