Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Hunan University in 2022. Following this, in 2023, he received funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Humboldt Foundation to complete three years of postdoctoral research at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research-UFZ in Germany. Then, in 2026, he received funding from the EU MSCA-PF to conduct research in Aarhus University. His current research focuses on PFAS removal and degradation technologies.
