My professional competencies lie within mechanical engineering, with a focus on computer-aided design. This includes the continuum from 3D modeling in CAD to structural simulation with FEM and fluid dynamic simulations using CFD. It is within these areas that I teach and supervise.
Open source particularly interests me because it provides an intriguing alternative to commercial closed solutions. In my teaching and guidance, I have utilized tools such as Salome, OpenFOAM, Paraview, Prepomax, and DualSPHysics, alongside commercial software like SolidWorks, Ansys, Abaqus, and Comsol.
