My research interest is prenatal genetic testing, including its importance for individuals and society, as well as the ethical questions it raises. Through my research, I help evaluate and improve prenatal genetic screening and diagnostic methods.
My research is closely connected to my work as a physician in clinical genetics. In my daily practice, I meet pregnant women and their partners whose lives may be greatly influenced by the results of prenatal genetic testing.
My current postdoctoral research is part of the GENIUS project. GENIUS is a research and innovation initiative that offers early, non-invasive prenatal genetic testing for pregnant women. I work closely with colleagues from Aarhus University, Aarhus University Hospital, and Arcedi Biotech to advance the project and develop new opportunities for prenatal genetic testing.
