Profile

I am a dentist and specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, with an academic and clinical background from Türkiye. My academic role in Istanbul has combined clinical practice, teaching, and academic research for more than ten years.

My research interests include oral diseases, advanced imaging, and artificial intelligence applications in dentomaxillofacial radiology, with an aim of improving diagnostic approaches and translating emerging imaging technologies into clinical dental practice.

Research

During the 2026/27 academic year, I am a visiting researcher at Aarhus University, conducting research on dental-dedicated magnetic resonance imaging (ddMRI).

My current research focuses on anatomical and pathological assessment and clinical validation of ddMRI in the maxillary sinus region, exploring how non-ionizing imaging can be integrated into dental diagnostics.

Job responsibilities

My primary responsibility at Aarhus University is research in dental and maxillofacial imaging. I contribute to research on dental-dedicated MRI, including study planning, image assessment, and scientific dissemination within the Section for Oral Radiology and Endodontics.
