I hold a degree in Molecular Biology and a PhD in Medicine from Aarhus University.
As a clinical biochemist and senior specialist at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry, Aarhus University Hospital, I work with the analysis of therapeutic drugs and drugs of abuse in patient samples, as well as the development of new LC-MS/MS methods for both research and routine clinical use.
My research focuses on therapeutic drug monitoring and drugs-of-abuse testing, with particular emphasis on the development and validation of advanced LC-MS/MS methods for the quantification of drugs and metabolites in biological samples. Through method development and clinical studies, my aim is to improve the basis for individualized drug therapy. My research contributes to more precise and safer treatment of patients.
My primary area of responsibility is quality assurance of analytical methods for therapeutic drug monitoring and drugs-of-abuse testing at the Department of Clinical Biochemistry, Aarhus University Hospital. In addition, I contribute to teaching and scientific communication, including teaching on the specialist training programme in clinical biochemistry.
