Magus Bjørn Frische is a Post Doc at the Department of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus University. He is a research fellow at the Center for Research in Energy: Economics and Markets (CoRE) and the Danish Finance Institute (DFI). He holds a PhD in Economics and Business Economics from Aarhus University (2025).
Magnus' research interests include asset pricing, sustainable investing, and climate finance. He is particularly interested in how climate concerns are priced in financial markets. In two papers on green bonds, he shows that the green bond premium is state-dependent, varying over time with aggregate climate concerns and geographically with county-level climate attitudes. He has also studied carbon emissions in stock portfolios, finding that a portfolio's net carbon tilt is positively related to realized returns but negatively related to expected returns measured by the implied cost of capital.
Magnus teaches an introductory accounting course for first-year bachelor's students and a master's course in Sustainable Investing. He also supervises bachelor's theses, master's theses, and topic reports. He has previously taught Asset Pricing at the master's level.
