With degrees in anthropology and health sciences from the University of Copenhagen, I work at the intersection of humanities and clinical medicine. I advance translational medical humanities through ethnographic, participatory and arts-based approaches that connect research, practice and lived experience.
My research bridges anthropology and medicine to examine how knowledge, care, and ideas of the human are produced in clinical and experimental settings. Through ethnography, I study uncertainty, AI, chronic illness, and emerging biomedical models, exploring their implications for personhood and human potential.
I lead the BRIGHT research group and serve as Director of UCOP, advancing interdisciplinary collaboration across medicine, humanities and technology. My work brings together researchers, clinicians and healthcare organisations to address emerging challenges in health, care and innovation.
