As an appointed Professor of Medical Biochemistry, my primary research interests concern endocytic receptors, ranging from their basic structure and function to their pathological roles and innovative translational applications, including their use as targets for drug development. I hold a medical degree and a medical doctoral degree on endocytic receptors. I have continously led multiple research projects at AU since 1988 except during my six years research stays at Oxford University and SDU.
