I am an Assistant Professor in Molecular Biology, with a research focus on cell signaling and physiology. My work aims to understand how metabolites and protein modifications influence cellular function and their physiological roles. I have a PhD in Genetics and experience in cell biology, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and microscopy.
I am conducting research on the molecular regulation of metabolism, health, and aging, with particular focus on metabolite signaling, post-translational modifications, and the interplay between metabolism and cellular function. Using chemical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, metabolomics, and transcriptomics, my goal is to uncover fundamental molecular mechanisms across physiological contexts. My research contributes to advancing our understanding of metabolic health and aging.
My primary area of responsibility is research within the Section for Forensic Chemistry, as part of the Bioanalytical Unit. I lead the molecular and physiological aspects of ongoing projects, co-supervise postdocs and students at PhD, Master’s and undergraduate level, and coordinate the group’s journal club. I also contribute to developing new research projects and grant applications.
