Mario Javier Rincón is an accomplished researcher specialising in fluid mechanics and energy engineering. He is currently an industrial postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University, collaborating with Kamstrup A/S, where he focuses on data-driven turbulence modelling, and optimisation of ultrasonic flow meters using computational fluid dynamics and surrogate modelling.
He holds a PhD in Fluid Mechanics from Aarhus University (2020–2023), an MSc in Energy Engineering from Aalborg University (2016–2018), and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2011–2016). His research interests include turbulence modelling with data-driven methods and topology optimisation for industrial applications. He has also contributed to open-source projects, such as the PDA-enhanced k-omega SST model published with OpenFOAM.
