My research focuses on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in children and adolescents. I work at the intersection of research, clinical practice, and leadership within child and adolescent psychiatry. I am a part-time Associate Professor at Aarhus University and Chief Specialist Psychologist in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Central Denmark Region, with responsibility for psychological services, professional development, and education.
My research focuses on child and adolescent psychiatry, with a particular interest in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Drawing on clinically driven research questions, I investigate how psychological treatments, especially cognitive behavioral therapy, can be optimized. My work also examines neuropsychological, cognitive, and metacognitive processes in OCD, as well as the development and evaluation of assessment tools. I use both quantitative and qualitative methods.
