Research

My research focuses on physiological and performance adaptations to various forms of physical training across different populations — ranging from athletes to cancer patients.

Teaching activities

I teach several courses regarding physical training and exercise physiology within both the Bachelor's and Master's programs in Sports Science at Aarhus University. In addition, I supervise both Bachelor's and Master's students and teach in relation to industry-oriented project courses.

Furthermore, I am the Teaching Coordinator for Sports Science and a member of the Board of Studies, and am thus involved in course, teaching, and curriculum development for the program.

Collaborations

Over the years, I have collaborated with, among others, the Department of Oncology and the Department of Experimental Clinical Oncology at Aarhus University Hospital, The Danish Head and Neck Cancer Study Group (DAHANCA), and Team Danmark. Additionally, I have numerous collaborators from national and international research groups.

Job responsibilities

My areas of work are teaching, supervision, educational development, and research. I am the course coordinator for several courses within the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Sports Science, and I also supervise both undergraduate and graduate students.

I am the teaching coordinator for Sports Science, a member of the Education Committee at the Department of Public Health, and a member of the Board of Studies for Sports Science.
